Mrs. Martha Ruth Burkholder
MRS. MARTHA RUTH BURKHOLDER, 39, wife of Elmer M. Burkholder, 1000 Linden-av, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday in Memorial hospital after an illness of two months. She had been a medical patient at the hospital the last five weeks. A native of Lima she resided in this community until moving to Zanesville to live. She returned to Lima 10 years ago. She was the daughter of Fred W. and Stella (Bigelow) Shockey, the latter of whom survives and resides at 1000 Linden-av. She was a member of the First Baptist church, Zanesville. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by two sons, Frederick R. Ansel and Theodore J. Ansel, both at home; a daughter, Starlie Jane Burkholder, at home; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Redmond, 828 Michael-av, and Mrs. Raymond Smith, Zanesville. The body will be removed to the residence at 4:30 p. m. Saturday and returned to the Chiles and Son funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Monday to remain for services at 2 p. m. The Rev. S. F. Porter and the Rev. J. C. Clasper will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
