Doris Henkel (Bowers), 85, died Monday, February 6, 2017.
Studying at KSU and OSU helped her earn advanced MRS and MOM degrees as the beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Henkel, deceased; and the loving mother of Richard Jr. (Amy), Joyce (Ed Deskin), Roy, Ronald, and Nancy.
She was the beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Henkel and loving mother of five, grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of eight.
Calling hours are Wednesday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Schneeberger Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Road N.W., Canton, OH 44709 and Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 781 Terex Road, Hudson, OH 44236 where a funeral service will follow officiated by Reverend Dr. Rhett Dodson. Burial at St. Jacob’s Cemetery in Cairo, Ohio.
