He was united in marriage to Donna Shockey in 1955 and to this union one daughter was born. Donna preceded Earl in death in 1960. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Donna Watson, Pauline Crowley and Bernie Morrill. On August 16, 1962 he was united in marriage to Vada Duggan and they would have celebrated fifty years of marriage in just a couple of months.
Earl is survived by his wife, Vada of the home; a daughter, Beverly Roy and her husband Ronnie of Mansfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Reggie Roy, Randall Roy and his wife Julie, Regina Banwart and her husband Devin, Rachelle Garrison and her husband Jerry, Chris Roy, Alex Roy and Radonna Roy; eleven great-grandchildren, Katie, Mason, Maddie, Abby, Andrew, Grace, Raine, Kally, Kayla, Kiki and Delaney.
Earl served his country faithfully in the United States Army and had lived his entire life in the Hardenville area where he farmed and had worked for the Walker Lumber Company. He and Vada moved to Mansfield five years ago to be near his daughter, Beverly and her family. He had made his profession of faith in Christ and had attended many Pentecostal churches over the years. In his spare time he liked fishing, gardening, singing bass in the quartet and loved playing the harmonica for the grandkids. Earl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the many wonderful memories we have of him.
