Donna Shockey *

, born on 10, , in Santaquin, , and residing in Tooele, Utah, passed away on October 29, . Known for her resilience, intelligence, wit, and compassion, Donna was a pillar of strength and a beacon of light in the lives of all who were fortunate to know her.
She spent her career billing Medicaid and Medicare for Holy Cross Hospital and stayed on during all four changes of ownership.
Donna was a widow, having been married to her late husband, Jack Shockey. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She also loved her Maltese Poodle, Killer, and hence became affectionately known as, Grandma Killer. She is survived by her daughters Kristy Andrew and Jacquelyn Young, grandchildren Minda Hackbarth, Corey , Justin Leader, Courtney Leader, and Tonya Andrew, great grandchildren Aspen Leader, Logan Hackbarth, Riley Hackbarth, Caden Gates, and Ashton Gates, and great-great-granddaughter Kaeli Hackbarth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Emma , and her husband, Jack Shockey.
A lover of golf, Donna enjoyed spending her free time on the green, letting the challenges of the game fuel her resilient spirit. Her hobbies and passions were a reflection of her personality – lively, engaging, and full of enthusiasm. She was also a proud member of the DAV, Disabled American Veterans, a testament to her compassion and dedication to service. “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years,” Abraham Lincoln once said, a quote that aptly summarizes Donna’s approach to life. She cherished her grandkids and golf, demonstrating the importance she placed on family and personal fulfillment.
