Ray W Shockey *
Ray William Shockey age 57, died October 6, 2024 in his New Bavaria home. Ray was born August 7, 1967 to Thomas and Marvel (D’l ameter) Shockey in Defiance. He graduated from Ayersville high School in 1985. He served his country in the Army National Guard. He was the office manager at McNaughton-McKay Electrical Company, Defiance. He retired in 2021, after being with the company for 35 years. He was the New Bavaria fiscal officer. In his spare time he was a member of the New Bavaria AMVETS/VFW, Defiance Eagles and the Continental American Legion.
Ray is survived by his two beautiful daughters: Sydney and Ryley Shockey, both of Parma, OH and siblings: Martha (Jim) Fenter, Bryan and Michael (Deb) Shockey, Mears, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Zachrich Family Funeral Home of Holgate has been entrusted with Ray’s services. Ray will be cremated with the services to be held at a later date. In lieu of any flowers, please make donations to the New Bavaria Fire Department.
