Alice F. Spahr *

MORRISTOWN, Ind. — Alice F. , 73, of Morristown, Ind., passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Major Hospital at Shelbyville, Ind., surrounded by family.
Born November 22, 1942, at Belfry, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Opie and Nora Lee .
Alice is survived by her sons: William Spahr and wife, Karen, of Springs, Colo., and Scott Spahr and wife, Kim, of Morristown; sisters: Bonita Gail Hickman and husband, Ernest, of Gahanna, , and Betty Varney and husband, Thomas, of Celina, Ohio; brother, Robert Elswick and wife, Penny, of Longs, S.C.; granddaughters: Holly A. Koenig and Emma G. Spahr; a great-granddaughter, Keira Koenig; and several nieces and nephews.
Alice was a member of Arlington Christian Church. She formerly worked at Walmart for 17 years, retiring in . Alice enjoyed adult color pages and collecting lighthouses. She was an avid fan of the Morristown Yellow Jackets and supporter of the Morristown Boys and Girls Club. Alice loved being called Gia by her granddaughters and their friends, and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved to smile and bestow compliments on people.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 22, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Chapel, 124 E. St. at Morristown, and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, at Arlington Christian Church, 2341 Carthage Pike at Arlington, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Gary Holt officiating. Interment will be at Arlington East Cemetery at Arlington.
