Alice L Snyder
Alice Lucille Snyder, 84, of Finzel, passed away October 2, 2023, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born September 10, 1939, to the late Leonard and Blanche (McKenzie) Shockey. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband Donald L. “Joe” Snyder; sister in law, Lois Shockey.
Alice was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and Maryland State Retired Teachers Association. She adored her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren even more.
Surviving are her two sons, Don Snyder and wife Linda, Frostburg, Greg Snyder and wife Julie, Pasadena; grandchildren, Nina M. Likens and husband Mike, James D. Snyder and wife Alexandra, Jonathan M. Snyder; great grandchildren, Hayden and Gracelyn Snyder, Harley and Shane Likens; sisters; Nancy Barmoy and husband Terry, Faye Collins and husband Jerry; brother, Gerald Shockey; and numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors, Joy, Bump and Charlie.
Services with the family will be held at Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, MD on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2 PM. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM
Inurnment will be at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alice’s honor can be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Finzel or Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Dept.
