Baxter Potter *

Baxter A , 86, Gas City, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, , at his residence in Gas City. He was born in Scottsboro, , on August 2, , to Albert and Suzie (Brownfield) Potter.

Baxter retired from Fiber after 41 years of service. He and his sons owned and operated Potter & Son’s Tree Service. He was a member of ABATE region 3. Baxter loved motorcycle trips and collecting junk.

Survivors include children, Tammy (John) Heil of Marion, David Potter of Gas City, and Joyce of Indianapolis; Mark Burke, who was like a son; special nephew, Tom ; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Anna Potter, sons, Steve Potter, Baxter Potter, and Robert Potter, granddaughter, Robin Bledso, great-great grandson, Aiden Potter and sister, Geneva of Jonesboro.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Baxter’s life will begin at 12:00 pm. with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
