Blanche Shockey *
Blanche M. Shockey, 91, of Warren, OH passed away early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2024, at her home. She was born April 13, 1933, in Niles, OH, the daughter of the late Clifford and the late Genevieve (Murray) Willaman. On March 28, 1955, she married William “Bill” Shockey. They shared sixty-six years of marriage and many wonderful memories until his passing June 3, 2021. She was a graduate of Lordstown High School. Blanche worked as a payroll clerk for Copperweld Steel Corp. for 32 years, retiring in 1993. Blanche was a member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, William “Randy” Shockey; daughter, Pam (Christopher) Stephenson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Blanche was preceded in death by her son, Richard Shockey; two brothers, Donald and Alvin Willaman; one sister, Thelma Steele and two baby sisters. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2024, in the chapel at Sager Memorial Park, where Chaplain Dan Tayman will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at Sager Memorial Park. Interment will be in Sager Memorial Park, Bristolville, Ohio.
