Bonnie Prince *
Bonnie Prince, 81, of Summit, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord, Friday evening, September 20th at Kings Daughters Medical Center. A daughter of the late Lon and Mazie Mullins Shockey, she was born October 12, 1942 in Boyd County, Kentucky.
Bonnie was a Christian and one of her biggest pleasures was serving her Lord through working at her church, Ironville Independent Baptist. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and crocheting, but most of all quilting. Bonnie made many quilts for Community Hospice Patients.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband; Robert G. Prince. 2 brothers; Billy R. and Lon ‘Ed’ Shockey. 2 sisters; Joyce Smallridge and Elizabeth Cordial.
Surviving include 2 sons; Timothy Miles, and wife Martha, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky. David Miles, and wife Kathy of Ashland, Kentucky. A brother in law; Bill Smallridge of Catlettsburg, Kentucky. 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 25th at 1:00 PM at PRESTON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time.
