Donald E. Davis *
Donald E. Davis, age 88, passed away November 23, 2021, in Tucson, AZ. Don was born on November 10, 1933, in Plattsmouth, NE., to the late Pete and Thelma (Shockey) Davis. He enlisted in the Army on November of 1951, and proudly served his country until August of 1955. Don married Pauline Wilson (the love of his life) on October 18, 1969. They spent the last 53 years together. Pauline passed away on November 3, 2021, and he just couldn’t live without her. Don was a retired welder. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters Eileen (Tiny) Christian, and Shirley Bratcher; 4 brothers-in-law. Survivors include daughters Deana (Danny) Crom, of Glenwood, IA., Demona Kirschner, Darcy Davis, DeNelda Davis, all of Arizona; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and two on the way; sisters Julia Whitesides, of Colorado, and Ellen Andre, of Oklahoma; 1 brother Stanley Michael (Lucille), of Council Bluffs; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service Tuesday 11 a.m., at Ridgewood Cemetery. Family and friends to meet at Cutler-O’Neill for procession to cemetery. Military rites by Kanesville Riders Honor Guard. Luncheon to follow at Open Door Baptist Church.
