Donald R Peppel
Columbiana, OH-Donald R. Peppel, 77, died at 4:20 pm Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family, following a long illness.
Mr. Peppel was born February 2, 1935 in Fairfield Township, a son of Rollie and Rita Reash Peppel and had lived in this area all of his life.
Donald owned and operated Peppel Milk Transport and was a member of Zion Hill Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joann Catherine Little; three daughters, Debra (Lars) Skotte of Cowan, TN, Donna (Mark) Nash of Macon, GA and Deanne “DJ” (Ronald) Gesaman of Huntsville, AL; a son, David “Pete” Peppel of Greenford; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Wayne Peppel, two sisters, Leora Brathuhn and Winifred Gorby and two brothers, Paul and Blair Peppel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, Columbiana with Reverend John Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana and 10-11am Friday at the church.
