Eldred Stigleman *
Eldred “Stig” Stigleman, 85, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on April 27, 1939 in Butler, Oklahoma. He is the son of Posey and Ila (Splawn) Stigleman. He went to see his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Stig married the love of his life, Mary Ann Shockey on May 28, 1960 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, Dodgers baseball, traveling, working and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Stig has a collected baseball memorabilia going all the way back to when the Brooklyn Dodgers began. He was a avid Brooklyn Dodgers and L.A. Dodgers fan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024 at Gateway Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Chasten Musick will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his wife, Mary Ann Stigleman of the home; two daughters, Dawn Amore and Scott Bell of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Sherri Carnes and her husband, Sammy of Elk City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Lana Olivas and her husband, Cameron, Tara Rose all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tyler Carnes and his wife Destanie of Elk City, Oklahoma, Taylor Rowell and her husband Michael of Hammon, Oklahoma, Megan Retherford and her husband, Blake of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren, Hayden Olivas, Blake Olivas, Gunner Rose all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lynlie Rowell of Hammon, Oklahoma; two sister-in-laws, Juanita Courtney and her husband, Dale of Elk City, Oklahoma, Glenna Fowler and her husband, Leon of Cordell; and numerous other family members, nieces and nephews.
Stig is preceded in death by his parents, Posey and Ila Stigleman; parent-in-law, Glen and Rae Shockey; sister, Crelva Waters, brother, Gladney Stigleman; brother-in-law, Dale Shockey; niece, Tracy Fowler.
