Shockey Roots

SOMERSET, Aug. 10 – Frederick Shockey, nine, son of Harry and Caroline Lafferty Shockey of Somerset, R. D. 4, was fatally injured Thursday when a farm tractor fell on him. The only boy in a family of four, he died of a crushed chest and internal injuries. The boy was riding with his father on the tractor, going through one of the fields on their large farm. The machine upset when it hit a rut and the youngster fell off, landing directly in the path of the tractor.
