Frieda J Weaver *

Frieda J. Weaver, 94, of Gas City, passed away peacefully at 6:24 am on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Gas City. Born in Fowler, Indiana, on November 19, 1930, to Elmer and Rose (McClendon) Harris, Frieda lived a life full of love and dedication. She married Charles “Bud” Weaver on February 19, 1950.
A graduate of Wadena High School, Frieda was a devoted homemaker and a cherished member of Southside Wesleyan Church. She had a passion for reading, enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved keeping in touch with people via Facebook. Frieda also had a special fondness for observing the moon and its cycles. Known for her organizational skills, she was a pillar of strength and love for her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Sheridan) Stephens of Gas City; sons, Rodney Weaver of Ashburn, VA, Ronald Weaver of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Dawn (Brent) Selke, Amber Havens, Zach Shockey, Macki Weaver, Molly (Teddy) Hollingsworth, Trevor (Gianna) Weaver, Grace Weaver, Jeremiah Weaver, Leah Weaver; step-grandchild, Luis (Jackie) Morales ; great grandchildren, Grant Nelson, Ella Selke, Blake (Darien) Eversgerd, Brock Havens, Corbin Havens, Carter Havens, Emma Joseph, Colin, Teddy Hollingsworth, Harrison Hollingsworth, Jaden Andre, Elijah Weaver; great-great-grandsons, Nash Havens, Watson Havens, and Ezra Havens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rose Harris; husband, Charles “Bud” Weaver; and sister, Maxyne Batchelor.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Southside Wesleyan Church, 312 E. South “E” St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Frieda’s life will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Brent Miller officiating.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at Marion National Cemetery.
