George H Gessner

H. , 76, died Thursday afternoon in Good Samaritan Home at Postville following a brief illness.

He was a retired carman for the Great Western and
Western railroads for over 30 years.

Survivors include a son, Paul of Merced, Calif.; three daughters, Betty of Milwaukee, Sharon of Postville and Karen Hanson of Atwater, Minn.; a brother, Joseph of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Helen and Mary Pisney, both of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial: Floral Hills Cemetery, Hazleton. Friends call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Brant--Jamison’s, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established.
