Karon Julian *

Karon Kay Julian was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on March 3rd, 2025 at the age of 75 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial to follow in the Parks Chapel Cemetery, Tightwad, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parks Chapel Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.
She was born on April 14, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Raymond Snethen and Mary Frances (Ridgway) Snethen. She attended public school in Montrose, Missouri. After high school she went on to get her cosmetology license.
On June 3rd, 1968 she married Alfred (Bud) Eugene Julian. To this union, they had 4 children. They made their home in rural Clinton, Missouri for almost 57 years. Bud and Karon owned and operated their business, “Buds Wholesale Bait” for over 30 years until they retired in 2024.
Karon accepted Jesus at a young age and kept her faith throughout her life. She was a member and attended Good Hope Baptist Church when her health allowed. Karon was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and always put others before herself. She was the “glue” to her family and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Delores Ann O’Ferrell.
She is survived by her husband Bud, children Doug (Polly) Julian, Junior (Sheila) Julian, Sandy (Charlie) Shockey, all of Clinton, MO, and Sara (Kris) Weaver of Blue Ridge, GA., her grandchildren, Doug Jr Julian, Jamie Julian, Whitney (Virgil) Emery, Alli (Ryan) Nussbaum, Paige (Brian) Johnson, Shelby (Brandon) Wade, Courtney (Daltyn) Smeltzer, Matthew Shockey, and Morgan (Sam) Wade, her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Liam, Isabella, Caiden, Arizona, Brynlee, Magnolia and one on the way, her brothers Art and Charles Snethen and sisters Viola Jones and Evelyn Dehn, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
