Linda E. Titch *
Linda E. Titch, 75,of Corry, Pa., died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Corry Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1945 in Keyser, W. VA., a daughter of the late Robert Glen and Martha Ellen Shockey Smith.
Linda was raised and educated in Keyser until moving with her family to Union City, Pa. She graduated from Union City High School in 1964. She then married and stayed home to raise her children. In 1976, Linda went to J. H. Thompson Beauty Academy where she graduated with a teacher’s degree. She then worked for Pat Brown in Corry for 5 years. In 1982, Linda opened her own beauty shop in Corry and was there 35 years, retiring in 2008.
She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Linda was very active in the church and enjoyed embroidery, reading her bible, word search puzzles, walking and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death January 5, 2011 by her husband, Clair E. Titch, whom she married July 25, 1964 in West Port, MD.; a sister, Dorothy Reed; and two brothers, Donald Smith and Robert Smith Jr.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Pamela Walton and her husband Travis of Columbus, Pa.; a son, Brian Titch and his wife Denise of Columbus, Pa.; and three brothers, Thomas Smith and his wife Betsy of New Creek, W. VA., Blair Smith Sr. of Keyser, W. VA., and Joseph Smith and his wife Brenda of Union City, Pa.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Walton, Kristin Kelp and her husband Jon and Alexis Titch; a great-granddaughter, Bailee; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 721 Hatch St., Corry, Pa., on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the funeral service there at 12 noon. Rev. James Moffett will officiate. Per CDC regulations, masks and social distancing are required.
Burial will be in Lawn Cemetery, Beaverdam, Pa.
