Margaret L. Sanders
MARGARET L. SANDERS, 69, of Gettysburg R.8, died Tuesday at her home. She was born in Waynesboro, daughter of the late Ross and Mary Shockey. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Gettysburg; and the Mother’s Sunday School Class there. Her husband, the late Fred H. Sanders, who owned and operated Henning‘s Bakery Company for many years, died in 1978. Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. June C. Burdette of Woodbine, Md., and Mrs. Nancy S. Black of Gettysburg R.8; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Mrs. Janet Stoops of Chambersburg R.5 and Mrs. Elizabeth Snurr of Waynesboro, Pa., four step-brothers, Robert, Garnet, Vincent, and Paul Shockey, all of Waynesboro; step-sister, Mrs. Virginia Spoonhour of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, with Rev. William H. Barr, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening.
