Mrs. Amanda McIntire
Mrs. Amanda [SHELLY] McINTIRE, 80, of five miles northwest of Akron, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Alfred Van DIEN residence Rochester. Death was attributed to a heart seizure. She had been a life-long resident of the Akron community. Born March 5, 1873, in Fulton county, she was the daughter of John and Sarah SHELLY. Her husband, William McINTIRE, died in 1947. Mrs. McIntire was a member of the Olive Bethel Church of God. Survivors are four sons: Don [McINTIRE], at home; Russell [McINTIRE], Athens; Estil and Herman [McINTIRE], both of Elkhart; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Laura McKEE, Michigan City and Mrs. Roy HOHMAN. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Akron Church of god with Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH and Rev. Harold CONRAD officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery, Athens. Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home, Akron.
