Almost thirty years of this time was spent on the home farm near Corydon. As a result of this strenuous life, illness overcame Mrs. Ross some 8 years ago, culminating in an attack of peritonitis which resulted in her death. She was conscious to the very last, apparently realizing that the end was near.  The funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by Rev J Sours. Burial was made in the Corydon cemetery.
