Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Best
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Benedict Best, 47, wife of Wayne F. Best, died at her home, 410 E. Washington St., this morning at 2:40 o’clock. She had been in ill health for more than one year. Mrs. Best was born April 12, 1906, in Waynesboro, the daughter of hte late James Oellig and Virginia Shockey Benedict. She was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons and two daughters: Martha E. and Robert G. Best, both at home; Mrs Elwood L. Baer, 373 McKinley St., and Pvt. Richard Best, Camp Pickett, Va; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Lola Cashman, Waynesboro; Mrs. G. W. Deardorff, Washington; James K. and Jay Croft Benedict, both of Hagerstown, and W. A. Benedict, Boiling Springs.
