DEATH CALLED TO LONG SUFFERER – Mrs. Jacob Gearhart Died Early This Morning At Shady Grove Home.
MRS. SUSAN C. GEARHART, wife of Jacob Gearhart, died this morning at 2 o’clock in her home at Shady Grove as the result of a paralytic stroke. She was aged 88 years.
The deceased was born and reared in the Marsh district, being the daughter of Samuel and Susan (Shockey) Barr.
She was a member of the German Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband and these children: Mrs. Annie F. Martin, Middleburg, Mrs. Emanuel Bemisderfer, Shady Grove; Mrs. Jonas W. Eshelman, Mason–Dixon; Samuel Gearhart, Shady Grove; Ira E. Gearhart, Shady Grove; Ira E. Gearhart, Shady Grove.
Funeral services Monday, meet at the house at 1 p.m. after which the funeral cortege will proceed to Hade’s church for services. Burial adjoining.
