Robert F. Campbell *

Robert F. , 51, 601 Brackney, Brookston, was found dead in his home at 4:25 p.m. Monday by his wife. Campbell reportedly hung himself according to police officials and County Deputy Coroner K. L. .

Born 2, in Indianapolis, he was reared in Columbus and had resided in the Lafayette area for 29 years. His marriage on June 12, 1948, was to June Avanelle .

The deceased was a postal clerk at the Lafayette annex for 17 years and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Lafayette, and American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO.

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Pamela Elaine Campbell, Lafayette; one son, Pvt. Robert Joseph Campbell, Camp Lejeune, Carolina; his mother, Mrs. Della Orrell, Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Alma , Columbus and Betty Campbell, City, York, and one brother, Edwin E. Campbell, Columbus.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Chapel, Lafayette. Rev. Owen M. Burke will officiate and interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.
