Virginia J Shockey *
Virginia Janet (CROW) SHOCKEY was born November 26, 1912 at Beattys Run, Jackson County, WV., and departed this life 12 June 1943 at St. Joseph's Hospital at Parkersburg, age 30 years, 6 months and 17 days. On December 31, 1930 she was united in marriage to Robert L. SHOCKEY and to this union four children, Ethel 11, Mary 9, Bobbie 7, and Steevie who preceded his mother in death March 26, 1938, were born. Besides these to mourn their loss, she leaves her father, W. D. CROW; mother, Mary V. (HUNTER) CROW, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Agnes KIBBLE of Parkersburg; Georgia POOLE of Los Angeles; Ernestine TRIBBET of Mt. Airy, Maryland; William B. CROW of Los Angeles; Elmer CROW and Everett CROW, both of Ravenswood; one brother, Clair CROW preceded her in death on 8 February 1930. Early in life she was converted and united with the M. E. Church at Independence.
