Walter E. Forsha, Jr.
Walter E Forsha Jr., of Latrobe died Friday, March 27, 1998. Born Dec. 14, 1929, in Latrobe, he was the son of Estella Marks Forsha of Latrobe and Walter E Forsha Sr. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Unity Township, and the VFW and Thomas B. Anderson American Legion Post 515, both of Latrobe. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the 1st US Cavalry Division, U.S. Army and a retired self-employed contractor – Walter E Forsha & Sons – General Contractor.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a son, Walter E Forsha III; his brother, Ronald, and a sister Betty June Buncie. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 pm Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday in John J Lopatich Funeral Home Inc, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Services will be held 11 am Monday in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Unity Township, with the Rev. William E. Ordelt Jr Officiating. Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial park, Hempfield Township. Military service will be held at 10:15 am Monday in the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to: School of Medicine Research for Glioblastoma, Pittsburgh or Latrobe Area Hospice Program.
