Wilbur L Rock *
Wilbur LeRoy Rock, 52, a driver for Yellow Cab Co for 13 years, died at 7:40 am Monday in Home Hospital following a lengthy illness. He had been hospitalized since Aug 29.He spent most of his life in Lafayette but lived in Delphi a short time. He resided at 43 Westlawn Village, West Lafayette. Mr. Rock worked at Purdue University in the physical plant for 10 years before his employment with Yellow Cab. Among his survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Doris Irene Davis of West Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs John [Ethel] Worth, Mrs Gordon [Shirley] Ingle and Mrs Martha Shaw all of Lafayette, and Mrs Beulah Stewart of Brookston; four brothers, Howard Rock and Mike Rock both of Lafayette, Robert Rock of Kenton, Ohio and James Rock of Pittsburg, IN. Also three half sisters Ruth A Rock of Lafayette, Rose Mary Rock of Delphi and Mrs Dale [Rosalie] Matie of Rockfield; and a half brother, Cecil Rock of Lafayette. Preceded in death by one brother Herbert Rock.
