Sidman Eli Hughes
Sidman Eli Hughes, aged 71 years, four months and 29 days, , of Latrobe RD 1, near Whitney, died at 9:50 o’clock yesterday morning. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hughes, and the following children: Mrs. Nellie Casteel, of Jamison No. 20; Mrs. Edna Miller, of Norvelt; Abraham Eli Hughes, at home; William Glenn Hughes, of Jamison No. 20; Mrs. Beulah Webb, of Hawthorne, NJ, and Miss Della Jane Hughes, at home. Thirteen grandchildren also survive as well as the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mary Marks, of Baggaley; Mrs H.C. Mershon, of Youngstown, Pa; Mrs. Nettie Custis, of Youngstown, O.; Mrs. Gertrude English and Mrs. Margaret Dixon of High Point, NC; George Hughes, of Oakmont and Isaac Hughes, of Port Huron, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, Pa., in charge of the Rev. W. Frederick Adolphson.
