Josephine Shockey was born August 21, 1920 near Modena, MO the daughter of John Edward and Gracie Mable (Stanley) .  On January 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Eugene Shockey in Trenton.  He preceded her in death on November 5, .  She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include her daughters Janice Shockey of Platte City, MO, and Judy Chaffee and husband Mel of Trenton, and a brother Eddie Ray Gibler of Green City, MO, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
