Homer C. Poland

KEYSER – Mr. Homer C. , 38, of 165 1/2 Street, died suddenly this morning at his home.

Born in Keyser, he was the son of Mrs. Nancy Poland and the late Jeremiah Poland.

He was a member of the Keyser Church of the Brethren, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Nancy Hanks Post 3518. An employee of the Baltimore and Railroad he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Firemen.

Besides his widow, the former Helen , he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Weasenforth, and Mrs. Nancy Bacorn, both of Keyser; one son, Homer C. Poland, at home; one sister, Mrs. Irene Rembold, Keyser; two brothers, Harry L. and Albert S., both Keyser.

Services are set Monday at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home by Rev. Jeorge H. Jeffry and interment will follow at Queens Point Cemetery.

Friends will be received tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
