Albert Hastings
Albert Hastings, son of Tom and Lucinda (Martin) Hastings, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Washington Hospital County Hospital, following an illness of 11 weeks.
Mr. Hastings had been a messenger for the Nicodemus National Bank for the past 17 years and through his work made many friends. Previous to that he was employed as a foreman at the old Hagerstown Furniture Company for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha (Ward) Hastings; daughter, Mrs. Percy Devilbiss, Mrs. Guy McKee and three grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Eichelberger, Courtland, N. Y.; Mrs. Lucy Cunningham, Mercersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Clara Clopper, Denton, Md.; Mrs. Ella Rubeck, Clearspring; brothers Lloyd and John, Clearspring.
The body may be viewed at the Suter Funeral Home from 2 p.m. today until Friday morning.
Services will be held Friday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Ballard officiating; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
