Beverly J McLaughlin
Beverly J. McLaughlin, age 78, formerly of Alliance, died at 9:55 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, in Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville, Ohio, of complications following a stroke.
She was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Beloit to Paul Thornsley and Erma Steed Thornsley. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1951 and retired from Central Coated Products, where she worked as the accounts payable clerk. She was affiliated with the Alliance Christian Center. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, participating in charitable activities and spending time with her family and friends, and will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother and caretaker.
Surviving Beverly are a grandson, Derek (Stephanie) Gorby of Yorkville, Ohio; son, Jeff (T.J.) McLaughlin of Pahrump, Nev.; brother, Kendall (Pat) Thornsley of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and niece, Patty Nicholson of Homeworth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Josephine Thornsley; sister, Barbara Jean Moore; husband, Harold W. McLaughlin; and daughter, Mary Kay Gorby.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at The Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St, with Pastor Reijo Saari officiating. No calling hours will be held.
Burial is in Highland Memorial Park.
