POLAND – Services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Ruth Naomi McMillen, 94, of the Sunrise Assisted Living, formerly of Springfield Road in Poland, who passed away Friday afternoon.
Ruth was born Sept. 4, 1914, in New Springfield, a daughter of Merl and Tressa Burkey Seidner. She lived in the area her whole life.
During World War II she worked at the Truscon Steel Corporation. She was a member of the Old Springfield United Church of Christ and also the church’s Booster Sunday School, the Bible Study Club and the Fellowship Club.
Ruth married Arthur Dean McMillen June 20, 1936, and he passed away May 11, 1994.
She leaves one sister, Julia Leipply of Lake Wales, Fla., and also several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Charles, Everett, Roy, Arthur and Harry Seidner; and two sisters, Doris Redman and Iva Biss.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown and one hour before the service at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Dale Crum will have the service.
