Edna Milton
NEW SPRINGFIELD – Edna May Milton, 89, of 2415 Columbiana Road, New Springfield, Ohio, passed away at 2:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the Hospice House in Poland.
Mrs. Milton was born on March 23, 1921, in Struthers, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine (Burkey) McCurdy.
Edna May moved to New Springfield in 1959. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield.
Edna May worked for 17 years as an inspector at the International Paper Company in Youngstown, Ohio. She retired in 1971.
Edna was well known far and wide for her outstanding Kolachi, that she made in her kitchen, sold from her home and it was well known as Aunt Edna’s Kolachi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Milton on July 25, 2001. They were married on June 26, 1948.
Survivors include three nephews, one niece and two special people in her life, Shannon and Mary.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Springfield, with Pastor Aimee Raymond officiating.
Friends may call from 5-7 today, Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Friday, Dec. 3, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the New Springfield Cemetery.
