Marvin C. Shockey *

Funeral services for Marvin Clayton , 82, of Willow Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Mr.. Shockey died Dec. 22 at Medical Center South in Springfield.

He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Isabella, the son of Clarence and Alma Shockey. On July 27, , in West Plains, he married Wilma Abney.

Before his retirement, Mr. Shockey was employed with the telephone company for several years. His favorite pastimes were fishing and listening to gospel singing by the Murdy Family. He enjoyed attending meetings in his community as a guest. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, of the family home; two sons, Larry Shockey and wife Karen and Michael Shockey and wife Jeanette, all of both West Plains; two grandchildren, Jessica Shockey of Willow Springs and Zachary Shockey of Rogersville; five step-grandchildren, Tyler Collins of Mountain View, and Ashley , Alexander Clark, Andrew Evins and Adrian Evins, all of West Plains; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Aubrey and Logan; one brother, Joe Shockey and wife of Gainesville; two sisters, Norma Hall and her husband, the Rev. Junior Hall, and Wilma and her husband Marion, all of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. William and Abney; two sisters, Donna and Erma ; and one step-grandson, Austin Clark.

Burial will be in the Howell Valley Cemetery in West Plains.
