Erma L. Forrester *

Erma Forrester, Niangua, MO, daughter of Clarence and Alma Shockey, was born in Isabella, MO on June 16, 1937 and departed this life to be with her Lord on January 13, at the age of 72 years.

On December 11, Erma was united in marriage to Herbert Forrester, who survives. To this union two daughters were born, Theresa and Michelle.

Erma made her decision to follow her Lord early in life and served Him faithfully. She was a dedicated wife, loving mom, and grandma.

She will be remembered for her love to entertain and cook for others. She also enjoyed visiting her family and church family, who meant so much to her, and loved working in her house and trying to keep it the cleanest in town!

Erma grew up in the Y Full Gospel Church at Gainesville, MO and in her later years attended the Pentecostal Holiness Temple at Ava, MO.

She will be greatly missed by all who were acquainted with her.

She is survived by Wayne Forrester her loving husband of the home; one daughter Michelle Murrill and husband Chris of Marshfield, MO; three precious grandsons who were the light of their grandma’s eyes, Shawn, Brett, and Damen Murrill all of Marshfield, MO; two brothers and two sisters also survive, Marvin Shockey and wife Wilma Jean of Willow Springs, MO, Joe Shockey and wife of Gainesville, MO, Wilma and husband Marion of Mansfield, MO, and Norma and husband Junior of Ava, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Erma greatly, many other relatives and church family who were so dear to her.

Erma was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa in , her parents, and one sister Lee .

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2010 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Robert Grisham officiating. Interment will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.
