Bruce R. Shrader *

CARDINGTON – R. Shrader, age 49, of County Road 134, Cardington died Friday evening April 10, at his home surrounded by many of his family, friends and pastor who supported him through his last hours.
He was born in Mount Gilead on April 20, 1959 to Max Shrader and the late Doris (Waddell) Shrader Rowlen.
Bruce was a graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He served for four years in the US Navy as a pipe fitter on a submarine tender. He then worked at Sypris for 18 years ending as a general foreman before running his own business until he became ill. Bruce was a member of Christ the King Community Church and the Marion Moose Lodge. His hobbies included golfing, hunting deer, fishing and camping, watching the Buckeyes and NASCAR. Bruce loved his family and grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
On July 27, 1980 in Delaware he married the former DeeAnna and she survives in Cardington.
Survivors also include his father, Max Shrader, of Cardington; two daughters, Tiffany (Chad) of Prospect and Stephanie Shrader of Cardington; grandson, Kolton ; granddaughters, Alexis Watts and Nia Shrader; step-granddaughter, Autumn Hart; step-parents, Paul and JoAnn Rowlen of Cardington; three sisters, Judy and Gina Snider both of Cardington and Tammy Scott of Marion; step-brothers, Gary Rowlen of Caledonia and Chuck Rowlen of CA; step-sister, Roxann Rowlen of Marengo; mother-in- Norma Breece of Delaware; two sisters-in-law, LeeAnna Freeman and Karen (Dave) ; one brother-in-law Keith (Sue) Breece and many nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Rowlen and a brother, Mark Shrader.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 1:30PM Pastor Lucian Baker will officiate and burial with full military honors will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
