Lucille L Cole *
Born June 24, 1930, in Fall River, Kan., she was the daughter of Roy and Marie Blinn Donart. She married Alvin Jenkins. They divorced. On Dec. 23, 1978, she married Raymond “Red” F. Cole in Cantril. He died July 12, 1987.
Mrs. Cole was a homemaker and worked as a nurse’s aide in Kansas and for Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. She also did home health care.
She was a graduate of Princeton High School in Princeton, Kan. She moved to Richland in 1969, to Van Buren County in 1978 and Stockport in 1992. She was a member of Stockport Christian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Ernie Jenkins of Des Moines, David Jenkins of Wyaconda, Mo., Thomas Jenkins of Keosauqua and Timothy Jenkins of Weldon; two daughters, Katie Daley of Fairfield and Betty Lockwood of Winlock, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Roiann Louise Thomas of Keosauqua; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, C.R. Donart of Kansas; and one sister, Arliss Holdeman of Kansas.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of service Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. There will be no family visitation.
The funeral for Mrs. Cole will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home, with Pastor Dean Kuster officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery west of Keosauqua.
A memorial has been established.
