Roxanne A. Putch
ILION – Mrs. Roxanne A. Putch, age 63, of South Third Ave, Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, November 5, 2019. Her passing occurred in the privacy and comfort of her home with her beloved husband, Don at her side.
Born in Orlando, Florida on April 19, 1956, Roxanne was the daughter of the late James and Frances (Andrews) Shockey. She was raised and educated in Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Nathan Bedford Forrest High School, “Home of the Fighting Rebels!” She furthered her education by attending Jacksonville Community College.
On August 15, 1980, Roxanne married Donald J. Putch and together they’ve spent over thirty-nine years in a marriage filled with love, laughter and devotion. .
Roxanne was employed by Bank of America for more than 29 years. She currently held the position of Assistant Vice President, Consultant Systems Engineer at Bank of America. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Ilion.
Roxanne’s favorite saying was “Life is a Beach” and one of her favorite things to do was travel to the Caribbean, having been to fifteen different islands! She had a fondness for her pink scooter and was extremely close to her beloved boxer, Roper.
Family meant everything to Roxanne. She is survived by her husband Don, daughter and son in law Amanda and Mike Kelsey, granddaughter Mackenzie Kelsey and especially the love of her life grandson Austyn Kelsey.
Additionally, Roxanne is survived by her brother, Bruce Shockey and his wife Keori,sisters Bonnie Tkach and her husband John, Muriel Kosakowski and husband Don and Patricia “Trish” Shockey. She also leaves her in-laws, Dominick Putch (father in law), Patti and John Lytwynec, Judy Boyd and Donna and Miguel Lopez. Several nieces and nephews (related or otherwise).
Roxanne was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur and Bobby Durand along with her mother-in-law, Betty Putch.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM for memorial calling hours. Immediately upon the conclusion of visitation, a Celebration of Roxanne’s life will take place at the Ilion Elks’ Lodge.
