Mary L. Shockey *

Mrs. Mary L. Ginger () Shockey, 76, of Green Street, Waynesboro, PA passed away Monday morning, October 29, in her home. Born March 10, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Mildred (Miller) Bakner.

Mrs. Shockey was a graduate of Quincy High School with the Class of . She and her husband, Earl R. Harry Shockey were married April 23, in Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro. Mrs. Shockey was employed as a machine operator at Wayne Tool Company, Waynesboro until her retirement, March 1, . She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1191, and William Max McLaughlin V.F.W. Post #695, all of Waynesboro. Mrs. Shockey enjoyed her pets, camping, dancing, and playing the pull tabs at the clubs. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Chris D. and his wife Michelle of Lansing, KS; two siblings, Dan Bakner and his wife Debbie of Smithsburg, MD and Geraldine Snooks of Upton, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Walker. Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Mark Shover and Rev. Dr. Lynn Trutt officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the John R.
