Judy Schaub *
Early Thursday morning, February 11, Heaven opened its doors wide, to welcome a new angel to her eternal home. Judy Schaub was thus relieved of her earthly pain and burdens to join so many loved ones who preceded her on this journey. Waiting for her were her parents, Rev. Richard and Marie Shockey, her sister JoAnn, brother-in-law Wally, sister-in-law Marge, and her beloved grandson Cameron. Judy lived her blessed life her way, and never strayed from her Christian beliefs and values. She was a good daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother to a family that adored her. She excelled in so many ways and influenced so many of her friends and family in how to live a good life, how to practice selflessness, hospitality, and caring. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed by many.Judy leaves her beloved husband of 67 years – Paul W. (Bill) Schaub, her daughter Elaine and husband Rachid, her son Billy and life- partner Tammy, her son David and wife Laura, grandchildren Lilia, Malik, Jasmine, Jake, Morgan, Adam, Alex, Morgan V. and Christopher V. She also leaves her sister Jeannie and husband Dick Conners; also brother-in-law Dick Schaub, and sister-in-law Lore Dean. She adored her many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews of all ages and locations When the Schaub family gathered, it was always filled with many generations.. Judy was a SIGMA CHI Sweetheart at the University of Pittsburgh, and a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sugar Land, where she served in most all of the volunteer positions through the years. She also enjoyed the Quail Valley Gourmet Club and was an original member of its foundation. But most of all, Judy enjoyed her family first and helped all she could in their upbringing. A memorial service will be held in her church home on Sunday, February 21, at 3:00 pm, 502 Eldridge, Sugar Land, Texas – followed by a reception for friends and family. Due to COVID, this service will also be available via You Tube. The Rev. Dr. Fred Seay will officiate.
