Patricia Fahey *
Springfield, IL—Patricia A. Fahey, 89, amazing mother of 7, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born March 23, 1931, in Springfield, to Ralph and Hazel Shockey Davis. She married William “Barney” Fahey June 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death.
Patricia is also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael Patrick and Martin Fahey; a great grandchild and her brother, Ralph Davis.
Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Dilley of Springfield, Marcia (David) Bentley of Pawnee, Kathleen (Kenneth) Nyilas of Springfield, and Fadra (Tom) Birdsell of Ashland; one son, William “Bill” (Vicki) Fahey III of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Patricia belonged to Blessed Sacrament Church. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She volunteered at New Salem State Park for many years. Patricia worked from home as a hairstylist.
Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
