Steven E. Shockey
Steven Edward “Quincy” Shockey, 64, of Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at his residence.
Born on Oct. 27, 1954, he was the son of the late James Edward Shockey and Betty Marie (Beeman) Shockey.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Jean Shockey.
Quincy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Barton American Legion Post 189. He spent 20 years working with the Town of Lonaconing and 20 more years as a fork truck driver with Verso Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lois (Scott) Shockey; two sons, James Edward Shockey of LaVale and Steven Adam Shockey and wife, Alicia, of Lonaconing; six grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, Meredith, Alexander, Adian and Lyrica; a brother, Jim Shockey and wife, Brenda, of Lonaconing; sister-in-law, Denise Wilt and husband, Tom; and father-in-law, Robert Scott, all of Lonaconing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
At his request, there will be no formal funeral service.
