Marilyn Barnes *

Marilyn Frances , 83, of Benton passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Aug. 6, . She was born on Sunday, April 10, 1938, to Marion and Dorothy Davidson. Marilyn enjoyed doing hair and working at the Pediatric Clinic in . She loved to shop, paint, eat and travel. She has been almost everywhere in the United States and has been on a few cruises. She was so adventurous in her lifetime, but the most important thing she loved was her family. They were her whole life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Barnes; sister, Mary Anne Lyons; granddaughter, Jenny Shockey; grandson, Shane Mathis; and friend, Irene Hill. She is survived by four loving daughters, (Bill), Dana Smith (Randy), Darla Tiner (Nathan) and Dee Parker (Tony); sisters, Emory and Welch (Eddie); two brothers, Gary McLehaney and Phillip Hattabaugh; sisters-in-, Nonie Pickard and Clara Jones; brother-in-law, Billy Pickard; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts and other family and friends who love and miss her dearly.
Pallbearers: Joe Smothers, Sammy Venable, Scott Smith, Cody Smith, Anthony Parker, Adam Parker. Honorary pallbearers: Tyrone Williams and Jason Parker. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, with the visitation one hour prior to the service at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Following the service, interment will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
