Lola M. Ritson *

Mrs (Marie) Ritson, 56, died Suddenly Sunday morning at the home of her brother-in-law, Dr MC. Fisher, at Chariton where she and her husband had been visiting for the week end. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Services will be held at the First Christian Church here at 2 pm Tuesday. The family will receive relatives and friends from 7-8:30 pm this Monday evening at the Lavelle Funeral Home.

Mrs Ritson was a native of Clarinda, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Harvey Shockey, attending grad school here before graduation from high school at Chariton. She attended college at Cedar Falls and was graduated from Gregg Business School at Chicago.

She married George Ritson Sept 14, 1939 at Chariton and they moved to Clarinda in . She worked for Davison Oil Company, and for the past several years has been employed at the Citizens Bank here.

A member of the Christian Church here, she also belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary, and Chapter KH of PEO.

She is survived by her husband, who is manager of the Clarinda Chamber of Commerce, and two sons, Dr George Ritson Jr of Muscatine and Robert Ritson of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs M.C. Fisher and a brother Orville Shockey.

The Rev John will officiate at the services from the Christian Church with burial at the Clarinda Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Edwin Lisle, G.W. Richardson, Hugh Loudon, Dr John , Keith Stickelman and George Segrist. Mrs William Kramer will be organist for the service. At the register will be Mrs Edwin Lisle and Mrs G.W. Richardson with Charles and Krouch as ushers.

The family is establishing memorials with the Heart Fund and with the First Christian Church. The Citizens Bank and Chamber of Commerce office have announced that they will be closed Tuesday afternoon in memory of Mrs Ritson.
