Candish W. Cole *
Candlish W. “Candy” Cole, 48, of Riverton died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Kenneth R. and Mary Atteberry Cole.
Mr. Cole, a lifelong resident of the Springfield and Riverton area, was vice president of Central Illinois York for 10 years.
He was a member of St. James Church, Riverton, the Riverton Athletic Club, Lincoln Land Bass Masters and served as director of the Illinois Bass Association.
Survivors: a daughter, Amanda Cole of Riverton; two sons, Gary and Todd Cole, both of Riverton; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. (Mary) Cole Sr. of Pocatello, Idaho; four sisters, Mrs. Russ (Rebecca) Chandler of Nez Perce, Idaho, Susan Davis and Mrs. Terry (Mary) Tayson, both of Pocatello, Idaho, and Mrs. James (Christine) Hunt of Sumter, S.C.; three brothers, Kenneth (wife, Rebecca) Cole Jr. of Springfield and William (wife, Jay Lynn) and Joseph (wife, Mary) Cole, both of Pocatello, Idaho; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. James Church, Riverton.
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, near Riverton.
