Charlotte I Butler *

Charlotte Ilene returned to her Heavenly Father December 20, . She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Butler. She is survived by sister, Leona Butler; brother, Don ; sister-in-, Doris Carpenter; children, Charles S. Butler, Gary L. Butler and Beth L. Butler; and grandchildren, Charles T. Butler, Peter C. Butler, Jeffrey L. Butler, Ashley A. Lundquist, Stetson J. Blackmore, Erin M. Butler, Charles L. Butler II, Linda Butler, Anne Contreras, Angela Castilla, Crissie Acheson, Mary , Gary L. Butler Jr. and Tashina Butler. She had 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte was active in church and community activities, holding significant positions of leadership in each. She was PTA President 8 times, Cub Scout Den Mother 6 years, Brownie Leader 2 years and served as and Stake Primary President and Relief Society President in the LDS Church. November 23, , was proclaimed ‘Charlotte Butler ‘ in the city of Pueblo, , by the city council in recognition of over 50 years of dedicated service to the students, faculty and administration of Pueblo School District 60. The annual spelling bee at Heaton Middle School is named in her honor. Charlotte was a devoted wife to her husband, mother to her children, grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a friend to all. Visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, University Ward, 1411 W.
