Terry L Shockey *
Terry Lee Shockey, 84, Marion, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, surrounded by his family at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. He was born in Marion, Indiana, in 1937 to Jesse and Myrtle (Humes) Shockey.
Terry graduated from Marion High School in 1955. He then served in the United States Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. He retired from Chrysler, where he was a forklift operator for over 40 years. He loved fishing, reading, puzzles, watching westerns, and walking at the mall or on the Sweetser Switch Trail.
Survivors include his children, Terry L. (Stephanie) Shockey, Jr., of Muncie, Beth (Phil) Leckron of Converse, Steven Shockey of Kokomo, and Greg Shockey of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tiffany Randol, Brayten Shockey, Alex Leckron, Luke Leckron, Chloe Leckron, and Madelyn Shockey; great-granddaughters, Baily and Isabelle Randol; brother, Eugene Shockey; and special niece, Cheryl Haskell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Shockey; mother, Myrtle Shockey; daughter, Lori Kay Shockey; granddaughter, Carlee Leckron; brothers, Francis Shockey and Robert Shockey; and sisters, Norma Shockey and Joan Atkins.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Terry’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park.
