Vester Fausett *

Vester Fausett passed on March 29, in Marshfield, WI at the age of 91. Vester was born on July 1, 1930 in Muskogee, OK to Lafayette Price Fausett and Ora Ethel (Gaither) Fausett. Vester left home soon after his dad passed in 1945 at the age of 15. Vester went to work for a construction company and the first job he worked was in Colorado. Vester met his wife Velma Rae in Colorado. They eloped July 8, in Taos, NM, on her birthday and they lived in New Mexico until and then they moved to Muskogee, OK to help his brother on the farm and with the cattle. Vester worked construction his entire life either as operator or as project superintendent. He worked for many different companies over his career such as Timberman Construction and Construction both out of Albuquerque, NM. Vester ended his construction career with J&S Dozer of Keefton, OK at the age of 89 where he finally retired for the second time. Vester loved going to the flea markets, especially when he lived in New Mexico. He also loved going to any kind of auctions and it didn’t matter if it was auctions with computer equipment, heavy equipment or even estate sale auctions. Vester and Velma had five children Velma Jean, Paul Douglas, , Edna Marie, and Terri . Vester was a loving husband, a great father, and caring grandpa to all. Vester is preceded in death by his parents; infant son James Allen; his wife Velma Rae; oldest daughter Velma Jean; son Paul Douglas; and his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Vester leaves behind to cherish his memories 2 daughters, Edna Marie Hayworth and husband Doug of Holden, MO and Terri Lee of Muskogee; son-in- Bill Gallimore of Bosque, NM; daughter-in-law Christina (Prochnow) Fausett of Neillsville, WI; 22 grand-children; 44 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He loved all of them all very much and cared about every single one of them. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends as well. Graveside Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Agnew Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home.
