Valorie was born to Val and Helene Gass in Bremerton, Washington on June 15, 1951. She moved to Granger, in where she attended Granger Elementary, Valley Junior High and graduated with the class of 1969 from Granger High School.

On July 7, 1973, Valorie married Gregory Kemp and was happily married for over 36 years. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Jenny and Rebecca Ellen, who are blessed with many of Valorie’s best attributes.

Valorie spent over 32 years as an Executive Secretary at Primary Childrens Hospital. She was loved and respected and was the backbone of the radiology department as she took care of countless doctors who relied upon her for so many things.

From the time she took her first breath until she took her last, Valorie loved life. She loved people. She filled the role of mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and aunt in such a way that it blessed the lives of so many others. And yet, only one word is needed to describe this woman and that word is KINDNESS. She lived it every of her life. To just stand next to her and watch how she treated people and spoke to people would leave you determined to find a way to become more like her. She would strive to brighten the day of every person she came in contact with if only with a sincere gesture or comment. She loved the Lord and everyday strived to emulate His love.

Valorie is survived by her two loving daughters, Jenny Davis, Las Vegas and Rebecca Kemp, West Valley City; three grandchildren, Andie, Logan, and Cooper; brother Jim (Terri) Gass, Logan, Sisters Sally , Salt Lake City, Paula (Steve) Shockey, West Valley City and Peggy (Andy) Dagley, ; half-sister Diana (Robert) Easson, as well as her Uncle Warren (Patti) Gossett, Idaho and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
